10-Race Weekend, Holiday Cards OKd for Hollypark

Hollywood Park has been granted California Horse Racing Board approval to offer 10-race programs on weekends and holidays during its 67-day spring/summer meeting which opens April 24. An exception will be when Hollywood Park is simulcasting a race from another track. In that event, the simulcast race will be the addition to a nine-race program.

Hollywood Park also announced that its first post for afternoon racing will be 1 o’clock, one-half hour earlier than last summer. The six Friday night programs (June 14, 21 and 28, July 5, 12 and 19) will begin at 7 p.m.
