A Northridge man shot and killed a neighbor during an argument outside their apartment complex Thursday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Miguel Bernal, 44, was shot once in the chest about 3 p.m. in the apartment complex in the 19000 block of Parthenia Street, Detective Tim Moss said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police arrested Pedro Gomez, 56, on suspicion of murder. He was being held without bail at the Police Department’s Devonshire station jail.
The shooting occurred on a walkway on the grounds of the complex, Moss said. Police said they did not know what the men were arguing about.
