Walker Finds Body of Woman

A Sunday morning stroller found the body of a woman who had been shot and left on the side of a country road near Alpine, San Diego County sheriff’s deputies said.
The woman, about 35 and fully clothed, had been shot once in the head, deputies said. Her body was found at 7 a.m. Sunday in the 22200 block of Japatul Road, which winds around near Loveland Reservoir, south of Alpine in eastern San Diego County, deputies said.
The identity of the woman had not been confirmed by late Sunday night, officials said. Deputies declined to disclose the name of the person who found the body.
