A Pound of Flesh for Holbrook: Actor Hal Holbrook has been set to play Shylock in the San Diego Old Globe production of “The Merchant of Venice” to be staged by artistic director Jack O’Brien, June 28-Aug. 11 in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Actress Sada Thompson will also be part of the Globe’s summer lineup, appearing in “The Show-Off,” which runs Sept. 12 to Oct. 20 in the Old Globe Theatre.
