Salonen, Philharmonic in Special Concert

Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts the Los Angeles Philharmonic in the eighth annual High School Night concert, Saturday at the Music Center.

Seventeen-year-old pianist Anders Martinson is the soloist in Rachmaninoff’s “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini,” with Sibelius’ “En Saga” and Stravinsky’s “Le sacre du printemps” completing the program.

Tickets are $5, and are available at the Music Center box office, as well as at high schools throughout Los Angeles County.
