Woman Killed After Running in Path of Car

A Lake View Terrace woman was killed when she ran into the path of an oncoming car in Pacoima, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
Nancy Smith, 34, was hit by a car at 9:35 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Desmond Street, and died at the scene.
“Apparently she just darted right out in front” of the car, Officer Bill Rice said. The driver was not cited.
