DEGENERATE ART
I think those involved with the exhibit “Degenerate Art: The Fate of the Avant-Garde in Nazi Germany,” at the Los Angeles County Museum, deserve some applause (“Forbidden Art,” by William Wilson). During the oppressive period of Nazi rule, art was not meant to be aesthetic; it was meant to determine the perception of life. This was definitely the worst case of art censorship in modern times.
