Loaded with the sport’s best players, Studio City’s Harvard Foundation and Newport Beach won two easy games Friday in the U.S. Water Polo Men’s Outdoor National Championships at Cal State Long Beach.
Harvard, which has seven players on the national team, got six goals from former USC star Robert Lynn in a 17-3 victory over Sunset. And 11 Harvard players scored in a 21-5 victory over Malibu, a team composed of Pepperdine players.
Newport Beach, with eight national team players, defeated the Harvard B team, 18-6, and Rocky Mountain, 15-4.
The tournament will continue with 12 more games today, starting at 7 a.m. The title game will be played Sunday at 3 p.m.
