Ayrton Senna opened his bid for a record fourth consecutive Formula One victory by setting a qualifying record in the opening time trial for Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix.
Senna, in his McLaren-Honda, averaged 92.469 m.p.h. over the 2.068-mile street circuit.
