* 1/2 Huey Lewis & the News, “Hard at Play,” EMI. The world needs its nice guys, but Huey’s sunny, easygoing disposition--even on songs that lament love lost or soured--makes this album hard to care about. Lewis puts some teeth into the best cut, “That’s Not Me.” But most of this slicked-up R&B; package is news fit for the recycling bin.
