‘Follies’ Flap: An American Indian group won’t be rooting for “The Will Rogers Follies” to sweep the Tony Awards on June 2. The American Indian Community House of New York says the play, which stars Keith Carradine and is up for 11 Tonys, contains bigoted portrayals of Indians. “The show is replete with racist caricatures and stereotypes,” the organization said, “everything from a braided man in buckskin crashing a unicycle to (director) Tommy Tune’s interpretation of Indian dance.”
