Soybean Traders Sentenced: A federal judge sentenced nine soybean futures traders to up to 37 months in prison for their convictions on charges ranging from racketeering to wire fraud. The men were convicted in January in the government’s first major victory in a sweeping investigation of corruption at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade, the world’s largest commodities exchanges.
