Compared to the rest of the state, new homes sold in Orange County in 1990 were a little smaller. For example, while more than one in four new homes in Orange County had two bedrooms or fewer, the comparable proportion statewide was one in 10. Also, three-bedroom models were considerably more popular statewide than in Orange County. The differences for larger homes - those with four or more bedrooms - were much smaller.
