Los Angeles police detectives Monday were seeking a young man as the suspect in the killing of a 14-year-old boy gunned down near a South-Central Los Angeles liquor store.
Kenneth Kimbrough, 19, is wanted for the murder of Raumal James, said Detective Roosevelt Joseph of the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau. The shooting occurred near J.T.’s Liquor, 9716 S. Main St., about 11 p.m. Saturday, Joseph said. “The two males were standing near the liquor store with their girlfriends when the girlfriends began fighting,” Joseph said. “After the fighting stopped, the victim approached the suspect’s girlfriend to talk to her and the suspect shot him several times.”
Paramedics took James to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center, where he died. Anyone knowing Kimbrough’s whereabouts was urged to call the South Bureau at (213) 237-1310.
