Derby on Father’s Day Offers Prize of $50,000

Puddingstone Reservoir off the 210 Freeway in San Dimas will host All Oldies KRLA’s first Father’s Day Fishing Derby Sunday, featuring a 1 1/2-pound largemouth bass worth $50,000.
The fish, with a KRLA tag in its mouth, will be planted the night before. Fishing starts at 5:45 a.m. and the prize must be claimed by noon. Chances of anyone landing it are about the same as winning the state lottery. There will be other prizes for the largest bluegill, catfish, redear sunfish and carp.
