Hit-And-Run Driver Kills Man, Injures 1

One man was killed and another injured Sunday by a motorist who hit their car in a Glendale intersection and fled, police said.
The two men, who were not identified, were heading south on Verdugo Road about 4:50 p.m. when a Ford Aerostar van ran a red light at Wilson Avenue and struck their vehicle, Glendale Police Sgt. Bill Halvorsen said.
The two were ejected when their vehicle flipped over. The passenger was killed, and the driver was taken to Glendale Adventist Medical Center with minor injuries, Halvorsen said.
The Aerostar, possibly gray, sped off after the accident. An investigation was continuing.
