You can bet that the first prime-time broadcast of the “Daytime Emmy Awards” won’t be the last. The show ranked as the second most-watched program of the week (with about 12.5 million homes tuning in) and helped CBS win the prime-time ratings last week, the A.C. Nielsen Co. reported Tuesday. NBC, in its final week with Brandon Tartikoff on the payroll as entertainment division chairman, edged ABC for second. The full list of ratings is on F14.
* The viewers’ verdict on “Verdict” seems to be thumbs down. In its second outing last week, the CBS News series about trials attracted only 15% of the available audience and ranked 70th among the week’s 90 prime-time programs.
