A Thousand Oaks resident has been fined and one of his pit bull dogs impounded after a man was attacked while walking in a residential area, authorities said.
Ray Price, 28, was cited for violation of the leash law after his two pit bulls ran from an open yard in the 2600 block of Avenida de los Robles and attacked Albert Romanella, 39, about noon Tuesday. Romanella was taken to Ventura County Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for bites on his right hand and left thigh, then released.
A woman told Ventura County sheriff’s deputies that she had earlier been frightened by the same dogs while walking in the area.
