Police are investigating the death of a 29-year-old San Diego man who was stabbed Saturday night during a party at his home.
Abel Tabarez was dead on arrival at UC San Diego Medical Center about 10:30 p.m. after officers found him lying in the side yard of his home in the 2400 block of G Street. He had been stabbed twice in the upper body, police said.
Police arrested Jose Manuel Casarubios on suspicion of murder. He was being held Sunday at County Jail downtown.
Investigators said Casarubios was a guest at a party held at the house by Tabarez when a fight broke out for unknown reasons. Police have also questioned a second man in the incident, but no charges have been filed.
