OXNARD : Gunman Holds Up Grocery Warehouse
- Share via
A gunman wearing a stocking over his head robbed the Grocery Warehouse in Oxnard just before midnight Sunday, shortly after the store had closed, police said.
The man was probably hiding in the building at 2800 Saviers Road when it closed, Oxnard Police Officer Wendy Gietzen said. He approached the manager and another employee, who were counting money in the office, about 11:25 p.m. He put his handgun to the back of the manager’s head and demanded money.
Gietzen said the gunman fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a bag.
