Litton Industries of Beverly Hills has named Elmer W. Hill president of its Precision Gear division in Chicago, which makes transmissions, gearboxes and actuators for military helicopters. Hill succeeds Armand Coppe, who is retiring.
Hill has 22 years of industrial experience, including 12 in engineering and management. He joined Precision Gear in 1988 as director of manufacturing and was promoted to vice president of operations the following year.
