Trading Land for Peace

Rosen’s credentials as a victim of American anti-Semitism and experience in watching Israel annex the Golan Heights do not qualify her as having a “stake” in Israel’s future.
Is she a voting member of Israel’s democracy? Was she there when Scuds were falling on Tel Aviv? Is she concerned about becoming another victim of the intifada ? Rosen and members of the American Jewish community have every right to express their opinions, but should not claim to have a stake in Israel’s future until they are living there. The realities of war and peace take on a entirely different meaning when your country’s existence and your life are on the line.
