River Comes First

My congratulations to Fred Cassle (“Letters From Readers,” June 16). He is the first person, reader or editor, who has ever (to my knowledge) correctly identified in the Los Angeles Times the river that flows through London. It is the River Thames and not the Thames River, which grates on us expatriates.
