Buchanan on Capitol Hill

In response to “A Disease of Spite on Capitol Hill,” by Patrick Buchanan, Column Right, July 17:
I have the estrogen to state that Buchanan seems to be lacking more serious equipment than the deficiency of testosterone he attributes to Congress. Thank God Ronald Reagan spared us the statement Buchanan suggests: “While I did not know of the diversion of funds to the Contras, had I known, I would have approved.”
Former President Reagan’s restraint at least leaves us with the illusion that our Constitution and laws have some meaning.
