BIG BYTE: Toshiba America in Irvine introduced a hard disk drive that can store one gigabyte of computer data, or roughly 200 million words (D6). . . . That’s the equivalent of about 235 unabridged editions of Webster’s Dictionary. Says Frank Buckley, a Toshiba vice president: “This is not for your average personal computer use.”
