Firefighters were still battling a 60-acre brush fire in San Pasqual Valley Friday night, authorities said.
The blaze began about 12:35 p.m. from an illegal campfire several miles north of the San Diego Wild Animal Park and spread northeast until it was contained about 7 p.m., said Chris Hess, dispatcher with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
The fire is expected to be extinguished Saturday night, Hess said. No one has been injured.
