Operation Rescue: To the Barricades

Operation Rescue members are claiming all sorts of recriminations against Judge Kelly for doing his job. They argue that we should follow “God’s law” rather than the Constitution that has served us so well over the years.

As a lifelong leftist, I have argued endlessly with these modern Savonarolas over a woman’s right to control her own body; this is tantamount to trying to explain nuclear physics to doughnuts. During these arguments I am usually told by these God-fearers to “move to Moscow” or some such rejoinder. To these people who would have us replace the Constitution with God’s law, I have only this to say: “Go move to Iran!”
