OJAI : Memorial to Be Held for Fire Captain, 27

Memorial services are scheduled for 1 p.m. today for a Ventura County fire captain who died of a heart attack on Wednesday, officials said.
Services for Capt. Wayne L. Pulley, 27, of Ojai will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 411 San Antonio St. in Ojai. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
Pulley died suddenly Wednesday while on duty at Station 26 in Saticoy.
“He was a very active and dedicated employee,” said Sandi Wells, spokeswoman for the Ventura County Fire Department.
An educational trust fund has been established for Pulley’s 6-month-old daughter, Chelsea.
The firefighter is also survived by his wife, Melanie.
