Jerry Lewis’ MD Telethon

A tip of the hat, an Oscar, an Emmy, etc., to Mattlin for his letter to Lewis about his sadly misinformed intentions about disabilities.
Lewis should know those of us with infirmities are not his “kids,” we should not be objects of pity. We do not lose our dignity when we need physical assistance. We should never be addressed as “cripples,” a demeaning word.
Lewis uses his show for self-aggrandizement which takes away our dignity.
