Dousing the Fire: Joseph and Katherine Jackson canceled a press conference scheduled for Monday in which they were expected to refute recent allegations made by daughter LaToya Jackson, 35, that she and her siblings endured emotional, physical and sexual abuse by their parents during the family’s climb to fame. Instead, the Jackson family released a statement saying: “We know, and we hope all our friends and fans know, that (LaToya’s) ongoing statements are a pack of lies and any comment from us would only add fuel to the fire.”
