Parsons Advances in Atlantic City Surf Meet

San Clemente surfer Mike Parsons advanced to the third round of the $35,000 Body Glove Pro Friday at Atlantic City, N.J.
Also advancing were Kirk Tice of Huntington Beach, Vince De La Pena of Laguna Niguel, Chris Billy of Dana Point and Jim Hogan of San Clemente.
Matt Archbold of San Clemente and Pat O’Connell of Laguna Niguel, two of the top surfers on the tour, finished third in their heats and were eliminated.
In the bodyboarding division, Pat Caldwell of San Clemente advanced along with four-time U.S. champion Mike Stewart of Hawaii.
