Boxer Fernie Morales showed slight improvement again at the Indio hospital where he is recovering from brain surgery. Morales collapsed after losing an afternoon bout Saturday and underwent surgery for removal of a blood clot on his brain.
A hospital spokesperson said Morales had been upgraded from critical to serious, but that Morales remained semiconscious.
Doctors in London reported signs of improvement in the condition of British boxer Michael Watson, who remained on life support with a brain injury.
