It is indicative of our times and attitudes that The Times can assign the article by Davis to Column Left. However, Davis’ concern is for the state of our environment and for our collective refusal to face facts relating to resources, pollution and over-consumption. These are matters neither of right nor left. Instead, they go directly to the heart of our most pressing national problems. His article is smack dab on center.
