The Clippers and second-round draft choice Elliot Perry reached agreement on a one-year contract worth $130,000, the league minimum, because of salary cap restrictions. Perry, a point guard from Memphis State, is expected to sign today and be in training camp when it opens Friday at La Jolla.
The Clippers also announced that Ed Horton, who had previously signed a free-agent contract, failed his physical examination when an irregular heartbeat was discovered.
