WEST BANK ALLIES: On the eve of Middle East peace talks, Orange County’s Jewish right-wing is raising money for West Bank settlements. Ron Nachman, mayor of Ariel, the West Bank’s largest settlement, will appear Monday at a Villa Park fund-raiser. . . . “If (President Bush) thinks change can come about by forcing Israel to give up the West Bank, he’s living in a dream world,” says Rabbi David Eliezrie of the conservative Chabad Center in North Orange County. “First, he should give Texas back to Mexico.”
