Texas Killings and Gun Control

I read with disgust and dismay of the lawmakers who “did not want to make more enemies,” so they caved in to the National Rifle Assn., and killed legislation that would have banned assault rifles. (“Ban on Assault Rifles, Big Ammo Clips Dies in House,” Oct. 18). I urge The Times to publish the full vote roster on this bill so that outraged citizens can show these cowards what enemies they’ll have to face come election day.
