VENTURA : 2 Groups Endorse Council Candidates

The California League of Conservation Voters has endorsed two slow-growth candidates in the Ventura City Council election.
The group endorsed incumbent Deputy Mayor Donald Villeneuve and write-in candidate Steve Bennett for two of the three seats open in the election.
Another group, established to fight a proposed ordinance requiring downtown landlords to make their buildings earthquake-proof, has endorsed three candidates.
The Committee to Preserve Historic Ventura announced its endorsement of its former chairman, Marcum Patrick, and candidates Jack Tingstrom and Donald R. Boyd.
