WARNING: Despite all the talk about razor blades in apples and rat poison in candy bars, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department reports no such incidents in recent years, although some occurred elsewhere. Still, says Lt. Richard J. Olson, “We urge parents not to let their children trick-or-treat alone, and to check the items they bring home.”
