Chaminade 20, St. Francis 13--Justin Giovannettone rushed for 140 yards in 19 carries, and the Chaminade defense stopped a last-minute St. Francis drive to preserve the victory at Chaminade.
St. Francis (3-5) drove from its 31-yard line to the Chaminade 19 on its final possession, but a third-down pass into the end zone was incomplete as time expired.
St. Francis, which trailed, 13-0, early in the second quarter, tied the score, 13-13, midway through the third period when Rudy Martinez threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Catron.
Chaminade (6-2) recovered an onside kick on the ensuing kickoff and marched 56 yards in five plays, capped by a 42-yard touchdown pass from Travis Hall to Mike Sweeney late in the third quarter.
