Curtain Calls: Comedian Bob Newhart, who except for an occasional benefit hasn’t appeared on a local stage for 30 years, will perform Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Raymond Theater in Pasadena. The performances will be taped to air on Showtime. . . . Amy Hill winds up her autobiographical one-woman show “Tokyo Bound” Sunday at the Matrix Theatre and then heads for New York. She’ll perform at the one-person “Festival of New Voices” at the Shakespeare Festival/Public Theatre. . . . Pop singer Debbie Gibson will make her Broadway debut Jan. 7 when she takes over the role of Eponine in “Les Miserables.” . . . Ted Shackelford and Joan Van Ark of “Knots Landing” will read “Love Letters” to each other Dec. 3 as part of the play’s holiday run at the Canon Theatre.
