A San Diego man who police believe may have suffered an epileptic seizure was killed Friday when his vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and hit a truck.
The victim was identified by the San Diego County medical examiner’s office as Bradford Bennison, 35.
San Diego Police Lt. Tom Warden said the man was driving south in the 4200 block of Pacific Highway when, according to witnesses, he slumped over, crossed the median, crashed through a chain-link fence and drove toward oncoming traffic--accelerating all the while.
After driving more than a block, his vehicle collided head-on with a stake-bed truck. The driver of that vehicle was not injured.
