Edison 14, Mira Costa 4--Chris Egan scored five goals and Brian Carr had four as Edison (16-10) won the first-round game at Golden West College. Jason Stanton had 13 saves for Edison, which led, 7-1, at the half.
La Serna 20, Servite 6--Brian Pyle scored six goals to lead top-ranked La Serna (24-3) at home.
Fountain Valley 16, Downey 6--Ofer Horn scored four times during a six-goal second quarter as the Barons (17-11) broke open what had been a 4-3 game. Horn finished with eight goals and Rob Causee added three.
In a 4-A wild-card game:
Tustin 18, Canyon 8--Pat Collins scored seven goals and Jeremy Yorba added five for host Tustin (19-8).
