The California Transportation Commission has approved spending $7.1 million to repair an eight-mile stretch of the Golden State Freeway between Burbank and downtown Los Angeles, the Department of Transportation said Friday.
The work, which has not been scheduled, will involve periodic lane closures and may include closing the entire freeway between 1 and 5 a.m., Caltrans said. The affected area stretches from Pasadena Avenue just north of downtown to Burbank Boulevard in Burbank.
