Rock’s Unsung Legends: The Hard Rock Cafe in Los Angeles will honor some of rock’s behind-the-scenes gurus in the first Unsung Heroes Awards ceremony tonight. Record producers Roy Thomas Baker (the Cars, Queen), Andy Johns (Van Halen), Keith Olsen (Scorpions, Whitesnake, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Fleetwood Mac), Shel Talmy (The Who, The Kinks) and Tom Werman (Ted Nugent, Motley Crue, Cheap Trick, Poison) will receive their awards at 7:30 p.m.; they’ll also donate memorabilia to adorn the walls of various Hard Rock cafes.
