Huntington Park : 5 New Cars Ordered for Police, Code Enforcement
- Share via
The Huntington Park City Council has approved spending nearly $80,000 for five new cars for the city’s police and code enforcement officers.
The city will purchase a 1992 Ford T-Bird LX and a 1992 Mustang LX for the Police Department’s narcotics unit. The cars, which will be purchased from Los Angeles-based Crenshaw Motors for $33,263, should be on the road within the next few weeks, said Neil Poole, director of field services.
Three of the city’s four code enforcement cars will be replaced with 1992 Chevrolet Caprices at a cost of $45,993. The vehicles will be purchased from Sopp Chevrolet, which also sells cars to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The three old cars will be put in a city car pool or sold, Poole said.
