OUTLOOK

New Coach Tom Duttine welcomes back four starters from last season’s team that finished in last place (0-7) in the Express League. The Cougars, however, aren’t going to scare any of their opponents off the floor with soaring height. Returning starters Trisha Norton (5-4), Renee McGrew (5-2), Shareen Ponce (5-0) and Nesrine Taylor (5-3) don’t figure to intimidate too many teams under the backboards. Junior Suzie Sykes (5-7), described as a good athlete, might be able to shore up what is bound to be weakness in rebounding. Although the added experience will undoubtedly help, the Cougars will have a tough time cracking the upper echelon of teams in their league.
