Glendora : Plans for Transit Center
The City Council on Tuesday authorized the staff to begin negotiations to buy four properties where the city hopes to build a transportation center to house the city’s five Dial-a-Ride vehicles.
The properties are located on the south side of Dalton Avenue between Minnesota and Pasadena avenues, across from La Fetra Senior Center and near bus stops on Foothill Boulevard. The price for the lots has not been fixed.
The center will be used for vehicle storage, light maintenance, bus pass sales and staff offices. City Manager Art Cook said Dial-a-Ride vehicles are currently housed throughout the city.
The center must also be approved by the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission.
