Duarte Mayor Named to Head AIDS Forum

The City Council Tuesday named Mayor Ginny Joyce to head a task force planning a community AIDS education forum.
Joyce appointed Councilman James D. Kirchner to work with her on the task force, which will consider the forum’s format, focus, content and intended audience. The forum is expected to take place in mid-January.
In other action, the council unanimously appointed Joyce to a second one-year term as mayor and appointed John R. Fasana as mayor pro tem.
