MGM-Pathe Evidence to be Reopened: A judge has granted a motion from a European bank to reopen evidence in a suit to determine control of MGM-Pathe studios, the bank announced. Credit Lyonnais Bank Nederland N.V. had asked Delaware Chancery Court in Wilmington to reopen evidence in its suit against Italian financier Giancarlo Parretti and Pathe Communications Co. The bank’s motion contends that one of the exhibits used in Parretti’s defense was a fabrication. Chancellor William T. Allen has scheduled a hearing on the allegation Dec. 18. Credit Lyonnais and MGM-Pathe sued Parretti and Pathe Communications Corp., contending that Parretti was trying to control the studio after promising the bank he would step aside.
