Not one Croatian is on Serbia’s territory killing innocent people. The democratically elected Croatian leaders are not killing young men for desertion as are Serbian Chetniks with Albanians, Muslims and Montenegrins. The 380,000 free Serbs in Croatia have all rights as do any other minority anywhere in this world.
I’d rather have a former communist as a president who has been beaten and jailed for being a Croatian than Milosevic, who is still a communist.
If it wasn’t for Croatian King Tomislav who gave refuge to Serbs from the Turks during the Ottoman Empire, there would be no Serbs today--that’s the thanks we get!
In 1776 among the first European states to recognize U.S. independence was the Croatian republic of Dubrovnik. Mr. Bush and Mr. Baker, it’s about time you returned that favor!
